The Library of the Mannaniya College of Arts and Science is functioning in a well furnished spacious hall with an area of 2200 square feet. Library is nourished with 10375 books, 20 general periodicals, 20 journals and 10 dailies. There is a separate collection of books under Walk with a Scholar Programme and Scholar Support Programme for the users concerned . Library subscribes NLIST from INFLIBNET, which enables the clientele to access the e-books and e-journals free of cost. An internet centre attached to the library has enough number of computers and ancillaries with Wi-Fi connection which provides browsing facilities for both staff members and students. The remote access to the N-list e-resources is provided to the users by creating login IDs and passwords of their own. The National Digital Library of India is also being made available to the users through login ID and password.
The library is automated with an Integrated Library Management Software-LIBSOFT 4.1 version with OPAC and Web OPAC (http://mcas.libsoft.org) facility. An online version of plagiarism check software named Plagiarism Checker X is installed to check the uniqueness of the projects and dissertations of the students.
The books in the library are arranged subject wise according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. The library has a rich repository of general books, subject specific books, encyclopedias and dictionaries. In addition to these, the reference section is enriched with PhD theses of faculty members, project reports of UG and PG students, job training reports, tour reports and internship reports. The good collection of competitive exam preparation materials is also an attraction of the library. Internship training is given to CLISc students of this institution and other Institutions.
The library advisory committee oversees the functioning of the library. It meets at regular intervals to activate the process of quality improvement and to solve the grievances of the users.
All the students, faculty and staff are the members of the library. The library is kept open from 9.30 am to 5 pm on all working days.
