Sports

Mannaniya College encourages various sports activities like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Athletics, Softball, and the indoor sports like Carom, Chess, Table Tennis, and Fencing. Sports help in building the values of leadership and team spirit among the students. It also inculcates the habit of winning in the students which is very important in today’s competitive world. Sports day is organized by the College in second term of every academic year, which helps the students for their inclusive development. Our college students represent university level in various sports events. Some of them have played at state/national level also.

Sports activities in our College is being designed and monitored by the College Sports Council. The main aim of the College Council is to impart training to the students in the field of Sports and games and to create awareness in health and fitness aspects.

Through the proper guidance and support from the Sports Council the activities and programme conducted and organized by the Department of Physical Education could perform very effectively.

 

 

The major facilities are

  • Athletics Track ( 200 meter trackLength 110 meterBreathe 70 meterTotal Area: 7700 Sq. meter) ,
  • Fields :- long jump pit, shot/hammer circle, discuss throw circle, javelin throw sector
  • Out door Games facilities :- football field, Volleyball court, Cricket field, Kabaddi Court, Soft ball field and Shuttle Badminton Courts are included in this specified area.
  • Indoor games – chess, caroms, table tennis, fencing
  • Gymnasium
  • Health and fitness club
  • Yoga centre
